Loretta Maase, M.A., LPC-S

As a Parent Alienation Specialist, Loretta has trained with some of leading researchers, treatment providers, and trainers from around the country. She has trained with Linda Gottlieb and Dr. Steve Miller on the Assessment and Treatment of Parental Alienation; Dr. Amy Baker on Reunification Therapy, Linda Gottlieb on Intensive Treatment and Advanced Intensive Treatment, and participates in ongoing consultation with the above named providers and more. Loretta specializes in conducting comprehensive parental alienation assessments, reunification services for mild-moderate parent-child contact problems/parental alienation, and the 4-Day Intensive Treatment Program for Severe Parental Alienation, Turning Points for Families Texas. Loretta frequently provides expert testimony on alienation, reunification, and treatment.

 

Loretta earned her Master’s degree in counseling in 1995, with a specialization in child development/parent-education, and family therapy. 

 

As a therapist she is trained in a variety of therapeutic models including Parental Alienation Assessment and Treatment, Structural Family Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy,  Gottman therapy, trauma-informed therapy, and trauma-informed family therapy.  In addition to providing family therapy services, she has served as a parenting facilitator, parenting coach, parent educator with over 25 years experience working with families. She also provides training and consultation to legal and clinical professionals on conducting parent alienation forensic evaluations and has presented at the Parent Alienation Study Group International Conference and the Family Access - Fighting For Children's Rights training modules. 

 

Ms. Maase has been involved in the field of parent education throughout her entire career. As former editor of Families in Recovery magazine, regional director and parent-educator for two foster care agencies, clinical director of The Parenting Center of Albuquerque, preferred parent-education provider for CPS, Bernalillo County, NM, and therapist in private practice, Ms. Maase has written, developed, and taught parent education to at-risk parents since the 1980’s. She is the creator of the 'The ParentRise Connection' parenting program for parents.

Loretta regularly provides expert testimony on parental alienation and conducts forensic alienation evaluations on a national basis.
